Christmas Two 00 Six/Letters/Cards/Notes

December 25, 2006 Dearest Mahal, The year is never complete without even a token appreciation for all the love and care you provide: which is translated into marketing, cleaning, washing and ironing. All of these are performed with more than the requisite attention provided by those professionals we used to hire. This year has not been very bountiful for us and we struggled for seven months on borrowed money, yet you never wavered in your resolve to do the things you do, the best way possible. Love is not the fire and passion of spontaneous moments but the little things that transpire and bind the lives of two individuals everyday. We have successfully accomplished these and it has transformed us and our love in a way that is seamless that it is hardly noticeable. I am just surprised at times when you can't believe what I say and seem bewildered by the transformation. You don't even recognize the change your love has done to its object of affection. I was a creation of some wil

Birthday 2006/Letters/Cards/Notes

Dearest Mahal, There is NO way this could represent what you're worth. It is merely a token of what I can afford at this time. I just didn't want this day to pass without giving you anything. You have fully done your share, and more. Wash clothes, iron, cook, market, clean, and even make love. We have had no outside recreation this year, no shopping, no movies, and we face a bleak Christmas gift giving activity; and these are what I should have contributed but came up very short. I hope I can still come up with a surprise, and a much better year next year. I love you very much and there is no other person that can even come close to that. There is no one I care for in this manner except you. I know you don't believe there is no one else - in whatever type of relationship - but that is the truth. It is stranger than fiction, right? But what sane man would not be totally in love with you for what you've done and what you've gone through with me. I love you only and t

Lab (love) Lab (love) Me Do

That sounds like the Beatles song. But nah! This is how I called the tons of laboratory exams I went through to confirm what my doctor suspected. I found it comforting that my hypertension specialist was unexpectedly charming. She had genuine concern for her patients. She willingly indulged me with my every question. She even tried to allay some of fears. Her bedside manners were perfect. To top it all she tried to persuade me to join a Born Again group. Unfortunately for me perhaps, I never got to do so. Thanks Doc! Cheers!

Adrenal Burnout

My illness IgA nephropathy which I discovered in 2002 started somewhat like adrenal burnout. "Thousands of people suffer from constant fatigue, unrelieved by rest and sleep. This is the main symptom of adrenal burnout syndrome . Other symptoms may include a craving for sweets, low blood pressure and blood sugar, irritability and depression. Low energy impairs every system of the body. Secondary symptoms range from impaired digestion to infections. Toxic emotions accumulate with adrenal burnout. The world looks bad, people are evil, and a hopeless attitude is not uncommon". Adrenal burnout is always a wake up call. Some area of life is out of alignment. For a deeper exploration of self, it is often the starting point. Rather than just existing as a programmed zombie, adrenal burnout may be the beginning of real living.

Exorcise those toxins

Exercise is the best form of removing toxins from the body. "Exercise stimulates circulation, improves muscle tone, improves cardiac function and boosts immunity. It is also a way to eliminate toxins from the body. Exercise is a critical component in the elimination of "poisons"--such as myriad toxins that build up in the body as a result of regular bodily processes in addition to man-made chemicals--from the body for three simple reasons. First, when we exercise we breathe more deeply, more forcefully and more often. In doing so, we release toxic by-products through the lungs. Second, when we exercise we also perspire. Perspiration is another means to eliminate metabolic waster material from the body. Finally, muscular activity is the only way to move waste material through the lymphatic vessels . If we don't sweat, don't breathe heavily and don't move our muscles, these toxins must find another way out. Unfortunately, they usually remain in the body, only

YOGA Anyone?

Back in college I used to do Yoga. Not THE Yoga but my own style. Do you know where I am going with this? " Yoga Means Union. Although many people think this term refers to union between body and mind or body, mind and spirit, the traditional acceptance is union between the Jivatman and Paramatman , that is between one's individual consciousness and the Universal Consciousness. Therefore Yoga refers to a certain state of consciousness as well as to methods that help one reach that goal or state of union with the divine. Yoga increases strength and flexibility, improves circulation, promotes well-being, and provides relief for common postural and chronic pain problems. Anyone can practice yoga. You don't have to be young, fit or supple. You start from where you are at this moment. Each individual works within her/his own level of comfort listening to their own body's messages. Yoga is completely non competitive. Each person is coming to Yoga for their own health and w
